On Our Way!

We have been slowly but surely finishing the remodel job on our house. After completing the 3rd bedroom just off the living room/theater room in the basement, we took a few months off for recovery purposes. By that I mean, we were broke. Not to mention tired of living in a construction zone. Now, we open the construction site yet again. So, in the next few months, if you happen to find a reason to come visit our mess, please do not run away in fear if I happen to answer the door with a crow bar in my hand and white plaster dust all over in my hair, the only visible part of me being my hazel eyes (which I have been told are intimidating all on their own). Do not misunderstand the state of my house for me being depressed and lacking the power to so much as dust off my lovely piano. However, if you do happen to take pitty on our distressed looking state, we won't deny you the opportunity to bring us dinner. :) haha. I have tried to photo journal this remodeling journey so that we can have something to remind us that we NEVER WANT TO DO THIS AGAIN, or better, to remind us, WHY ARE WE DOING THIS AGAIN? The actual truth is, that Kurt is an incredibly skilled craftsman, be it wood, or metal, or whatever he has a mind to take on. The extent of my skill is to keep him going, and keep little fingers from getting too curious, as they will do from time to time. So when the project gets just a little too interesting for our youngsters, I take them on a field trip. Which of course they don't mind a bit, because it is usually to grandma and grandpa's house. And that is always a eventful journey. ;)just a shot of the lovely hardwood that will soon be covered with carpet. oh well, it's better to have carpet in a bedroom anyway.
I learned how to hang sheet rock, by that I mean that I used the sheet rock screw gun while Kurt nearly herniated himself, no just kidding, he didn't really, but it is a good thing I am quick with the trigger! ;) haha
TO BE CONTINUED.........

Oh, Sheetrock! That really is my favorite part of construction. So easily cut, broken, and hung (if you don't mind the weight) I'm very jealous. Oh well, I'm pretty sure my brain was sweating that day just as muh as your arm pits! (Hah that was a good one eh)
