I Love To See The Temple

How fitting that the theme for this month in Primary is : The Temple is the House of God
Today at 12pm was the scheduled time for the famous gold plated angel Moroni to be fixed atop the eastern spire of the Brigham City Temple. The weather was not cooperating, at nearly 11 am there was a shower of rain, followed by wind. At 12 the kids and I were huddled by the dining room window where we have a perfect view of the temple spires, and watched as the crane went up. A basket full of workmen were hoisted to the top of the temple spire, and then back down to the ground again as the wind meter at the top of the crane measured wind speeds of over 40mph. It looked as though the milestone of placing the angel on the spire would be rescheduled.
We finished lunch a little disappointed in the weather. I went downstairs to continue folding laundry when I suddenly realized what I had been humming for the last hour or so: "The Spirit of God like a fire is burning! The latter-day glory begins to come forth; The visions and blessings of old are returning, And angels are coming to visit the earth. We'll sing and we'll shout with the armies of heaven, Hosanna, hosanna to God and the Lamb! Let glory to them in the highest be given, Hence forth and forever, Amen and amen!
Over and over I had been humming without really thinking about the tune. When I did finally get it (sometimes I'm slow like that) I sang out loud the words, and tried to remember each verse. I continued singing out loud until I realized there was no more folding to do! WOW!
I ran upstairs to find the skies were fast clearing to a clear bright blue. The winds had nearly completely stopped, except to push the remaining clouds out of sight. The sun was out and the temperatures climbed to 85. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL!! The work horn sounded at the Temple site and plans to place the angel Moroni on the spire resumed! We ran to the stroller and off we went up the street to see the marvelous work and wonder take place right here in our town! IT WAS AMAZING!
