Delayna and Wayne were in charge of this year's traditional Christmas party in the greenhouse.

It was a really fun time, as usual, filled with good food, good fun, and good family...did I mention the food?
My mom hasn't aged a day. I don't know how she does it, but I hope I discover her secret before too long!:)

I love how our sons are paling around in the background of this picture of Janie and I.:)

Jexten loves telling stories to anyone that will listen.. and grandpa is always good for that!

I secretly felt quite special that grandma ate dinner at our table. I also made sure to sit right next to her. I sat right there in that empty chair at the end of the table in the picture, and mom sat on grandma's other side. That plate of food next to grandma was mom's.

haha! I always laugh when I see my dad right next to young children, he is so much like them in so many ways! It always makes me smile.:)

It was so nice to see grandma again. Since grandpa's funeral I have often contemplated grandma's welfare. I mean, she is a tough lady, but I can't help but wonder how she is when the sun goes down, and everybody leaves. One thing is for sure, she sure does love her family! Wayne invited her to say a few words before the party began. She mentioned how glad she was to see all that were there, she talked about how if grandpa were here how he would say "why are you all making such a fuss?" I am grateful to have her as an example, she is such a wonderful lady, and I sure do love her.

After we ate, and ate some more,

we visited some, and kept eating

and then..... the excitement began! We sang "Santa Clause is comin' to town", the kids were so excited to see..... SANTA CLAUSE COME THROUGH THE DOOR! You can see by the look on Adessa's face that she cares nothing for Santa ;).

Jexten was so excited that he started waving his arms in the air and jumping up and down and yelling SANTA! IT'S SANTA, OH MY GOSH! SANTA IS HERE! (just like a certain "buddy the elf" we know). I did manage to get a picture- mid jump.

These are Nate and Brett's beautiful children, Emily and Ethan (minus Kai). I was trying to get a head on pic of "Santa" can you tell who it is? You did a great job dad. I loved how you danced around like a "jolly old elf". I wondered if you could tell who was sitting on your lap though, your glasses got pretty fogged up there. :)

Adessa got so flustered and shocked to actually see Santa, that she completely forgot what she wanted for Christmas! Oh dear! She just kept looking at him and saying, "you came! you came!" Don't worry, Santa, she wrote you a letter.

Jexten has been so deep in thought about what he would ask for when he finally did get to see Santa that he recalled the list of what to bring him, even before he was asked what he wanted! Jexten asked for: Transformers, Hot Wheels Custom Motors cars, and Kung Zhu - zhu zhu pet hamsters play set.
