It is kind of funny, the things we think we absolutely need. Things that, over the years, have been moved from the "luxuries" list to the "necessities" list. Well, I am no exception when it comes to fudging that list a little. Good 'ol fashioned elbow grease is not used sparingly around here, that's for sure. There are some things though, that really wear on me. Like doing dishes. Iḿ not talkin' just the pots and pans kind either. I'm talkin' the wash every fork and spoon and plate and cup and bowl after every meal kind of doing dishes. Well, I consider myself a pretty patient person. I did those dishes every day (well, I may have missed one here and there) for 14 months. The day after Thanksgiving Kurt came home from Black Friday sales with a dishwasher! So for me, this year happiness is... A DISHWASHER! YAY

Before the dishwasher could be put in place, we had to remove a bar, 2 cupboards, a drawer, and relocate a plug.

looks pretty good there huh?:) Thanks again for the table and your help, and a "special" thanks to my mom for saying "I know what you COULD do"

Preparing for the "maiden voyage"

I don't think anyone has every been this happy to do dishes before!

Ta daaa! dishes in the washer and not all over my table and countertop! YAY
obviously 2 of these videos are of somthing completely different than dishes...and in many ways, funner too! It's a wonderful life people.
